


Hyundai Oilbank has witnessed the growth of Korean energy industry for about half a century since it was established in 1964 as the country's first private oil company.
Approximately 3.3 million M2 wide Daesan Refinery in Chungnam, Korea, is capable of refining total 0.39 million barrels of petroleum a day - 0.11 million barrels refined in Plant I, the other 0.28 million barrels refined in Plant II. The Company operates 10 oil reservoirs and 11 shipping stations in the country's major cities.
In 1994, the Company launched a gas station brand 'OILBANK' for the first time in Korea, bringing sensation to the light crude market. For now, the Company is providing the best products and services in about 2,500 gas stations all over the country.
Affiliated with the world-best heavy industry enterprise, Hyundai Heavy Industries, in 2010, Hyundai Oilbank has leaped into one of the most competitive firms.
The Company is a leader in refinery upgrade. Furthermore, the Company is making the best efforts to add 1.4 million ton/year-scale aromatics (BTX) production units and to enter the base oil market so as to be one of the most competitive energy firms.
